A: We believe that the best way to assess the effectiveness is to create a tracking program that is directly tied to the specific goals of the campaign. That is, if the goal is to create awareness, we track changes in awareness. If the goal is to change minds, we track changes in attitudes and perceptions. If the goal is to sell widgets, we count widgets sold.



Q: What is your philosophy regarding branding?

A: We believe the term "branding" is overused and often used incorrectly. The vast majority of businesses have no business engaging themselves in a "branding" campaign. If you own the #1 brand position in any given industry you can brand. If not, your campaigns must sell. Too often, the "sell" is lost.



Q: How long have you been in business and how large is the agency?

A: Avocet celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2005. We are one of the top 25 agencies in Denver and work with several large brands and start-up and medium-sized businesses.



Q: How is Avocet different from the traditional advertising agency?

A: Avocet offers all of the services of the traditional advertising agency, but has a much greater depth and breadth of marketing insight. Our staff consists of senior professionals from every marketing communications discipline.
